To introduce the book , I would like to add a few quotes :
Dr. Carl Sagan, (1934-1996) famous astrophysicist
" The idea that the Cosmos itself undergoes an immense,
indeed an infinite, number of deaths and rebirths. It is only in the
Vedas in which
the time scales correspond, to those of modern scientific cosmology (age
is billions of years). A
millennium before Europeans were willing to divest themselves of the
Biblical idea that the world was a few thousand years old, the
Mayans were thinking
of millions and the Indians billions."
"When I read
the
Bhagavad Gita
and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems
so superfluous. " " The sacred books, the Vedas, claim, 'Truth is one, but sages call it by different names.' If only all the rest of the monotheistic 'book' religions, had learned that lesson, all the horror of history's religious wars could have been avoided. Which other book has its God say, as Krishna does in the Bhagavad Gita, 'All paths lead to me.' ?"
Prior to 9/11, USA has been the most abundant nation in the history of
mankind, with its emphasis on democracy, knowledge, scientific
research ,wisdom and spirituality. People like Warren Buffet,
Bill Gates, C.K. Prahalad , and Oprah Winfrey & organizations like
(RED) are leading us to restore that feeling of abundance,
generosity and spirituality again,
specially helping the bottom of the economic pyramid worldwide.
Ramakrishnan, Viveknand and more recently Deepak Chopra have
tried to enlighten us with the teachings from the East.
How could you achieve your most desired dreams that have been burning in your heart?
How
do we achieve true globalization that is beneficial to all nations?
Should we measure our life
by the number of breaths we take or by the number of moments we live ,
with harmony, peace and serenity and how do we achieve that?
How can we tap into the
cosmic intelligence, that is the storehouse of all ideas and inventions
at will and to manifest them at will?
Everyone is running after
happiness, like chasing the mirage with no end in sight, What good is
going to churches, mosques or temples, if it does not create or stir pure
bliss. How do you achieve bliss or
state of continuous happiness?
How do we achieve
perfect health without being dependent on harmful medicines? How do we achieve lasting
peace on this planet?
